Installation
- Install and activate Yatoon Salon Booking from Plugins > Add New.
- Open Yatoon Booking > Setup Wizard and choose Local mode to start without an external account.
- Add your services, options, prices, durations, staff, business hours, and closed dates.
- Create a booking page with the Yatoon Booking block, Elementor widget, or
[yatoon_booking]shortcode. - Make a complete test booking on a phone before publishing the page.
- Exclude booking and portal pages from full-page caching and delayed JavaScript optimization.
Existing Square users can evaluate the local booking flow first, then upgrade and connect Square from the guided integration settings.

Do I need Square to use Yatoon?

No. Free Local mode runs inside WordPress and does not require Square, Vagaro, Stripe, Twilio, or Google Calendar.

Does Yatoon work with Square?

Yes. Pro adds Square Appointments and POS workflows plus Square online payment and deposit options. Availability is verified again before an appointment change is saved.

Does Yatoon prevent double bookings?

Yatoon checks staff qualification, working hours, breaks, closed dates, existing appointments, and relevant shared-resource capacity. It performs a final server-side availability check immediately before saving. No booking system can compensate for stale or incorrectly mapped external data, so Square users should monitor the built-in sync health tools and test their mappings after setup changes.

Can customers book several services or bring a guest?

Yes. A customer can combine services in one visit, and group appointments can keep separate services, staff, and reference photos for each guest.

Can customers choose a staff member?

Yes. You can allow a preferred professional or Any Staff. Yatoon lists staff who are qualified for that service and available for its required time.

Can customers upload a design or reference photo?

Yes. Enable the general upload setting and the service-level design upload setting. Each image is tied to its own guest and service, and upload progress is shown before the customer continues.

Does this include staff and customer portals?

The mobile Staff Portal and Customer Portal are Pro features. Secure customer management links can also be included in booking messages when enabled.

Does it work with Gutenberg, Elementor, and my theme?

Yatoon includes native Gutenberg blocks and Elementor widgets, plus shortcodes for standard WordPress themes. Highly customized themes or aggressive cache/minification settings may require the booking page to be excluded from optimization.

Is Yatoon multilingual?

Yes. Yatoon is translation-ready and includes PO/MO catalogs for 20 locales. Site-owned service names, descriptions, policies, and custom labels remain under the site owner’s control.
