#### Installation

 1. Install and activate the plugin
 2. Connect to your WinCarts Dashboard with your API key
 3. The plugin automatically tracks carts and collects SMS consent
 4. WinCarts Dashboard handles the AI-powered recovery messages

#### Requirements

 * WooCommerce 5.0 or higher
 * A WinCarts Dashboard account (get one at wincarts.com)
 * SSL certificate recommended for secure data transmission

### External Services

This plugin connects to the WinCarts API to provide cart recovery functionality.
The connection to this external service is required for the plugin to function.

#### What the service is used for

The WinCarts API (https://app.wincarts.com) handles:
 * Storing and tracking abandoned
cart data * Sending SMS cart recovery messages to customers who have consented *
Managing popup settings and customization

#### What data is sent and when

 * **Cart data**: When a customer adds items to their cart, the cart contents (products,
   quantities, values) and session ID are sent to track the cart.
 * **Customer contact information**: When a customer provides SMS consent (via checkout
   checkbox or exit intent popup), their phone number, name, email, timezone, and
   consent timestamp are sent.
 * **Store credentials**: During initial setup, WooCommerce API keys are securely
   transmitted to enable order synchronization.

Data is only sent when:
 1. The store owner has connected their WinCarts account
2. Customers have provided explicit SMS consent (for contact information)

## FAQ

### Do I need a WinCarts account?

Yes, you need a WinCarts Dashboard account to use this plugin. The plugin syncs 
cart data with the dashboard, which handles the AI messaging and SMS delivery.

### Is this TCPA compliant?

Yes. The plugin includes proper SMS consent collection with required disclosures.
Customers must explicitly opt-in before receiving any messages.

### Does it work with WooCommerce Blocks checkout?

Yes, WinCarts fully supports both the classic WooCommerce checkout and the new block-
based checkout (WooCommerce 8.7+).
